Robotics Distribution, one of Ukraine’s Top 10 IT distributors and part of the DroneUA Group of Companies, as the exclusive distributor of the EcoFlow brand, held the 4th Energy Forum and Presentation — “EcoFlow Energy Day 2025. A New Era of Energy Consumption: From Storage to Generation”, which took place on October 15 as part of the ECOENERGY EXPO 2025 international exhibition in Kyiv.
In recent years, Ukraine’s energy system has been exposed to constant external impacts and operates on the verge of its capacity. According to experts, Ukraine may soon become a “nation of generators.”
Under such conditions, both households and businesses will have to change their energy consumption habits and undergo a full transformation — up to generating electricity independently. How this transformation can take place in practice was the key focus of discussions during EcoFlow Energy Day 2025 at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv. For the fourth consecutive year, the event has brought together leading energy experts, businesses, and consumers to jointly explore solutions for overcoming the energy crisis.
Key challenges for Ukraine’s energy system
As of October 2025, Ukraine has lost nearly 8 GW of generating capacity. Out of 15 power units, only 9 remain operational. The electricity deficit during peak consumption hours (morning and evening) ranges between 2.7 and 4.2 GWh — and continues to grow, noted Stanislav Ignatiev, an expert at the Ukrainian Institute for the Future, during the panel discussion.
Among other challenges is the potential increase in electricity tariffs for households and businesses due to the requirements of external creditors.
“Currently, the tariff is significantly lower than the market rate. The difference is covered under special obligations by two enterprises: Energoatom and Ukrhydroenergo. Given that Ukrhydroenergo’s facilities have been damaged and have not reached optimal water levels in recent years, the entire burden now falls on Energoatom. At the same time, the EBRD is demanding the start of debt repayment. To ease Energoatom’s special obligations, one of the possible measures is a gradual increase in electricity tariffs over the next three years — up to +20% annually. As of now, there are no such directives from the Ministry of Energy, and household tariffs remain at 4.32 UAH/kWh,” Ignatiev explained.
To overcome energy shortages, businesses have begun implementing self-generation projects. As a result, in the first half of 2025, nearly 1 GW of distributed generation capacity was installed, including solar power plants.
Solutions for energy stability
Solar power plants are among the most accessible options for ensuring energy supply for both private consumers and businesses. To get started, all that’s needed is a power station and a solar panel.
“Today, simply purchasing a power station is not enough — it needs to be integrated into a complete home ecosystem to deliver maximum efficiency. When combined with EcoFlow solar panels, it already enables users to generate, store, and consume electricity independently, while also optimizing energy use and saving smartly. In a comprehensive approach, we can unite the concepts of energy independence and energy efficiency,” noted Oleksii Parkhomenko, Head of the Power Stations Division at the COMFY retail network.
Over the past four years, EcoFlow has become a flagship brand in powering Ukrainian users.
“Today, Robotics Distribution stands as the world’s largest distributor of EcoFlow — not just as a result of a systematic approach to fostering a culture of energy autonomy, but also thanks to the trust we’ve built in the market and among users. There are months when the volume of energy we deliver rivals that of major power plants — even comparable to the Dnipro Hydroelectric Station. EcoFlow Energy Day represents a new category of events — a platform where we celebrate achievements and forecast the future of Ukrainian energy“, — said Valerii Iakovenko, co-founder and managing partner of the DroneUA (Robotics Distribution).
Portable power stations from the RIVER and DELTA series alone have become a reliable energy source for 330,000 Ukrainian households and businesses. A significant share of energy support has also come from stationary PowerOcean systems designed to supply power to private homes, businesses, and parts of the industrial sector.
“EcoFlow has become the No. 1 brand in Ukraine in the ‘Power Stations’ category. Over the past four years, we have delivered around 330,000 portable solutions, providing autonomous electricity to households, as well as to small and medium-sized businesses. This has helped everyone get through difficult times more easily and rethink their own approach to energy self-sufficiency,” said Serhii Silin, EcoFlow Brand Manager in Ukraine.
“The key factor influencing consumers’ choice of a power station is the assessment of their energy needs — understanding which specific devices require power. The most popular solutions among our clients are power stations with capacities up to 2 kW. The second factor is price. As the exclusive distributor of EcoFlow in Ukraine, we maintain market price balance while offering high-quality service and technical support. As a result, over the past four years, the culture of using power stations has evolved significantly,” said Serhii Malenkyi, Head of the Sales Department at Robotics Distribution (DroneUA Group).
Development of energy-independent technologies
Closely monitoring the dynamics of Ukraine’s energy system, EcoFlow has once again taken a proactive step forward. During the event, the company presented its vision of the future, embodied in a new range of innovative products, including:
● the updated RAPID series of power banks stands out for its excellent ergonomics, versatile capacity options (from 5,000 to 27,650 mAh), and the ability to charge up to four devices simultaneously via built-in cables and USB-C ports. The series also features Turbo Recharge fast-charging technology and X-Guard safety protection, which prevents overcharging, over-discharging, overheating, and short circuits.
● the redesigned TRAIL series introduces an ultra-compact, energy-efficient format of portable power stations built for mobility — ideal for travel, outdoor activities, and everyday use beyond the home. Equipped with premium LFP cells for extended lifespan, X-Guard technology that monitors over 40 parameters in real time, and support for solar charging up to 110 W, these stations combine reliability with convenience.
● the all-new DELTA 3 Air Plus series delivers a stable power supply during prolonged or frequent outages. It features a 7-level BMS protection system, a built-in voltage stabiliser, and overload protection for safe, consistent device operation — switching to UPS mode in just 10 milliseconds.
The highlight of the spring 2025 season was the EcoFlow STREAM energy system, which enables users to harness free solar energy for personal use and reduce utility costs. Over the summer, the system was actively tested in real-world conditions — in urban apartments, private homes, and for powering small businesses.
“The STREAM system I tested in my home fully aligns with EcoFlow’s philosophy. I had two STREAM Ultra hybrid batteries connected to the most loaded phase, along with solar panels totaling 1.6 kW. As a result of the test, electricity consumption from the grid decreased by 40%,” shared Anatolii Hutsul, Head of the “Your Home” project.
The highlight of the event was a giveaway of the brand-new DELTA 3 Plus portable power station.
EcoFlow Energy Day 2025 concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the Partners of the Year — companies actively contributing to the integration of EcoFlow solutions into Ukraine’s energy sector and everyday life. Among them: Foxtrot, Epicentr K, Brain, COMFY, MOYO, Citrus, SVA, YASNO, KTC, and ROZETKA.
Four years of EcoFlow’s active presence in the Ukrainian market, the continuous introduction of new products with expanded energy capabilities, and its leadership in the “Power Stations” category all serve as evidence of a paradigm shift in user perception — from backup consumption to self-generation and energy independence.
Gratitude is extended to the International Exhibition Center for its support in organizing the event. Special thanks go to the partner companies for their fruitful cooperation, which contributes to leading the country toward energy autonomy despite all challenges, as well as to the guests of the event for their active participation in discussions that made EcoFlow Energy Day 2025 truly special.
